  2. I was so impressed by the kids in this video!! I am ashamed to say that they are way more literate than I am and they have inspired me to learn all about the technology that is available for kids and classrooms so that when I start teaching my class can be technologically advanced! Thanks KIDS!

  3. These kids are amazing!!! I am so impressed. When I was in first grade, I was just learning how to read. Things have definitely changed. I must say I am a little nervous knowing that when I start teaching, my students are going to be so technologically literate.

  4. Hi you guys my name is Jessica Washington and I would like to encourage the students to keep up the good work. The students in today's society is learning so many new things that was not available to me when I was in elementary school. My hat go off to the educator that encourages and integrate these different activities for the students to learn. Learning is more than just listening to the educator talk and writing. This video shows the perfect way of getting the students involved in learning how they enjoy it.

  5. I loved this video, but at the same time it makes me mad. My daughter is in the fist grade and they aren't doing anything like that. They don't have laptops in the rooms; they have a computer room. After seeing this video I am going to help Wynter set up her own blog.

  8. Ms. Cassidy did a great job at integrating technology in the classroom. I liked the fact that her students were actively engaged in the learning process and that they were enjoying themselves. Her classroom was buzzing with excitement! I can't wait to see more of their work! If they are doing this in the first grade, I wonder what types of technology they will be exposed to in the second or third grade? This will be exciting to see...

  10. I think it is amazing what this teacher has integrated into her room. These kids are utilizing technology that I am just now learning about. I found this video fascinating, and I now truly understand what it means to be media literate!

  11. It's amazing to see such young kids so enthusiastic about technology. When I was in first grade, we were mainly restricted to the pencil and paper method of learning. These children are blessed to have a teacher so interested in preparing them for the future. It's also good to see that they are learning the good ethics of blogging/internet use also.

  12. These student are learning so fast. I wish my children were learning how to use technology in the classroom like these children. This teacher is doing a fabulous job of combining technology and the classroom. The thing I find so interesting is that the children seem to be so focused and interested in the technology. The kids are obviously enjoying using technology to learn.

  13. I am so happy to have seen this podcast.During the course of it, I heard many times the following : work together, I decide, we make the choice, learn, look up, ask questions, make plans with my buddy, etc. I love it! The students are getting so much experience with computers, Skype, blogs, video, etc. I really liked what one student said about blogs. He liked to log onto the class website to see what his friends posted on the blog.

I wonder if future grade levels at that school will offer the same techniques as the kids advance grades so as to keep the continutity of that aspect of their education.

  14. Watching this gives me hope, and it should give hope to anyone else who watches. Knowing that technology is entering the classroom and creating a positive learning environment inspires me to implement the same in my future classroom. The children are amazing and bring a new outlook on the possibilities of what technology combine with an urge to learn can do. It is important to show the students that they are the future and with the right tools anything is possible.

  15. These children are very smart and it is amazing that they know how to get the information that they might need for an assignment or just for their general pleasure. I like the fact that they are able to upload their work so that their family members and friends can comment. This is good for families who have friends or other family members who live far away.
